my shift to libertarianism

I have been away from this site for a very long time now. I must say since then I've moved more libertarian in a few areas. I believe that the department of education be done away with and education goes back to the states. I believe that the department of energy is done away with as well and all energy is privatized. I believe we need to audit and get rid of the fed. I believe we need to return to a tight monetary sytem that is backed by the gold standard as well as silver. our dollar and interest rates should be based off the conditions of our economy not false conditions set by the fed. we need more competition between private banks whether local, state or federal credit unions and nationally chained banks. I believe we need to repeal the 16th amendment and replace our tax system with the fair tax and abolish the IRS. I think the best foreign policy for our nation is a blend of the Reagan theory of peace through strength mixed with the Monroe Doctrine. I think we should get with our top generals from all the branches of our military and say hey which of these 900 plus bases we have worldwide have no strategic or tactical use. We need to aim to get down to about 75-100 bases that could serve as places for intel, spec-op units and a few quick reacting units. This way our military is not over stretched, we can provide better health care for active duty, give them better armor and technology and give them warships, planes and weapons that far surpass every other nation by twenty years. That way we can bring them back here living at home, investing here in our country and nations know not to mess with us giving us peace through strength but we cannot solve all the problems of the world hince tying in the Monroe Doctrine which we don't get involved unless it absolutely involves our interests or security and we have a strong plan and we go in and get out. we need to use GAAP accounting practices and really audit the federal government. Every pork barrel part needs to be wiped out. Medicaid/medicare need free market reforms to drive down costs and need more oversight so the people who need gets it and people who don't do not get. We need to make private insurance more affordable while finding ways to get them to cover more so our national government draws back on these programs because those who use private insurance are shown to have shorter hospital stays and get better care since there is less red tape. I do not know many of the regulations but we need a complete overhaul of our regulation system. we need to start from scratch and have a pro-business and pro-growth policy. I believe the patriot act needs to be repealed as well as a reorganization of the NSA. I think TSA needs to be repealed as well as the air traffic control at airports needs to go back to private sector people making them far more effective. I think social security needs to have a policy implemented giving everyone under 45 the opportunity to opt out and invest that money elsewhere. I think all foreign aid should get slashed as well as corporate welfare. THe fed does not need to print 85 billion a month and pump into the stock market. Welfare needs to be block granted to states with heavy oversight and eventually wiped out from the budget. the department of education needs to be removed and education needs to go back to the states and parents should have more control over their childrens education including having access to vouchers. The patriot act needs to be fully repealed. We need a massive overhaul on our intelligence community and make it less bureaucratic and cut the red tape bull out. Every single agency or department needs a thorough audit and all wasteful spending needs removed including DoD.

Great to see you posting again!

I have a hard time reading the text, the combination of the black background and small cramped font, lack of paragraph breaks is hard on my eyes.

Thank you
Chris
