my views on some issues
it has been awhile since i have wrote up on my on. the last quite of few have been emails i have received that i thought made a good point. but i figured i could make it clear where i stand on the issues by making a new section about where i stand on the issues, i did so a few years ago but didn't go in depth the post is still up.
the economy- i believe that to best grow the economy there are of course many things you have to do. first of all i believe the federal government as well as state governments have to drastically reduce spending and balance their budgets and get theirselves out of debt. i believe the federal government should draw down on alot of its funding to the states, with the exception for schools, scholarships and helping in building better roads. I agree with both which Reagan and Bush said in the 1980 debate. Bush said to have the large tax cuts Reagan wanted we would first need to have extreme cuts to the budget but also agree with Reagan large tax cuts to help stimulate and the stimulation will bring in more revenue but with the way our government spends we need to cut budget then have a drastic cut in taxes. The way i see it is that we as a nation are going to have to deal with extreme cuts/reform in many of our social programs as well as ridding the budget of them. all of our social programs were not designed to last this long and are billions of dollars in the red and are constantly opening up to allow more and more people on it. we need to put into law the cut down on how much banks, mortgage companies can loan out, the cause for the crash of the housing/mortagage sectors and the current recession. every part of the budget will have to be cut back and how the money is spent will have to be redone. the states will have to do same and find ways to gain money and seriously so their budgets more responsibly as well. if the government is going to tell business small, medium, big, corporation or whatever it needs to do the same. welfare in my opinion should be removed completly from budget. this health care bill that was passed will have to be repealed. the corporate gains tax and death tax should be eliminated and the income tax should be repealed and replaced with fair tax. in other words, state/federal governments need to redo their tax systems and heavily cut down the size of budget and business will have to clean up their books as well. all these pork barral projects and bailouts, etc need to be eliminated as well
National Defence- i think once we are out of debt and our government back to a point there is a surplus in money should build up the army and marines, and our seal teams. I think we should increase size of these i just mentioned and add to their training. like counter insurgency suppression, how to act as defenders for case if we are ever invaded. but our presidents should be more like fdr or reagan and use bully pulpit diplomicy. They should be willing to meet with everyone build our alliances, meet with enemies and hold them accountable. if we make deals make sure they hold up their side and that we do and if they violate them pull out of deal and give them punishment like reagan would do.
Social issues- i do believe in gun rights, argue it or not is 2nd admendment. it was put into constituition for a reason for people to own guns so if governement ever got to big and oppressive we could stand up. but also people just like to own guns its a right people should have, but yes there should be sometype of background check and more crimes and or felony's should have limits on what they can buy. if to many they should be able to buy. I do not believe in affirmative action. its been used as a program to give people a job based on minority status not on education, work experience, or qualifications. I do not believe in abortions. i believe welfare should be set up through teh communities and churches. people give to what they can afford or they think they should. this may not fit in here but i think our government should look into government corruption- senators, represenatives, president, justices people running the agencies or what not. we need to get back to being as lincoln once put it, a government of the people, for the people, by the people.
